A Year of Giving Back, Growing Forward
2025 has been a landmark year for MyLahore. From supporting hospitals and charities to championing local talent and celebrating 23 years of serving our communities, every milestone has been rooted in one belief: food is more than food, it’s a way to bring people together, uplift communities, and create lasting impact.
As we reflect on the past twelve months, we’re proud to share the moments, partnerships, and initiatives that have defined our journey this year.
Supporting Healthcare When It Matters Most
Our year-round support for Bradford Royal Infirmary and the Neonatal Unit reached a significant moment with the launch of the Home from Home campaign. We’ve pledged to raise £25,000 to create a kitchen and dining space for families during incredibly difficult times, offering comfort and normality when they need it most.
This long-term commitment was recognised by the Chief Executive of Bradford Teaching Hospitals Charity, who presented us with an appreciation award acknowledging the real difference our support has made to patients and their families.
Healthcare partnerships like these sit at the heart of what we do. When families are facing their toughest days, having access to a warm meal and a welcoming space can make all the difference. It’s a privilege to support the teams and families who show such resilience every single day.
Festive Giving and Community Care
The festive season is a time for togetherness, but we know it can also be a time of loneliness for many. That’s why we donated Christmas meals to the Khidmat Centre Christmas Dinner for elders, ensuring that nobody felt forgotten during the holidays.
Small acts of kindness matter. Whether it’s a hot meal, a friendly face, or simply knowing someone cares, these moments remind us why community support is so important all year round.
Celebrating Culture, Enterprise and Bradford Pride
One of the standout moments of 2025 was the launch of Winter Wunderland, a collaboration with Wunder Crumble that brought enterprise, culture, and community together in a truly special way. The event created a platform for local vendors and start-ups to shine, celebrating the creativity and entrepreneurial spirit that defines Bradford.
A particularly powerful moment came when Dynamo shared a heartfelt testimonial about his journey and connection to MyLahore, a reflection of shared roots and Bradford’s vibrant creative spirit as we approach Bradford City of Culture 2025.
Events like these remind us why we’re so proud to be part of this city. Bradford’s energy, diversity, and determination continue to inspire everything we do, whether we’re serving guests at our Bradford restaurant or supporting the next generation of local talent.
Recognition, Representation and Proud Partnerships
This year brought opportunities to celebrate excellence beyond our own kitchens. We presented a sponsored award at the Muslim Sports Awards, honouring resilience and grassroots achievement through sport, a cause close to our hearts.
Another proud moment came when we catered for the Chairman’s Suite at Bolton Wanderers FC. The Chairman personally engaged with guests throughout the event, and seeing our food enjoyed in such a setting was a real highlight for the team.
We also had the honour of collaborating with the Almarah Foundation, hosting celebrity Hamza Abbasi at Bradford Teaching Hospital. The visit raised vital awareness and funds for vulnerable children and orphans in Pakistan, showing how partnerships can amplify impact far beyond our own borders.
Award-Winning Excellence Across Our Restaurants
We’re delighted to share that all of our restaurants now hold a 5-star Environmental Health rating, from Leeds and Manchester to Blackburn and Birmingham. This recognition reflects the care, standards, and consistency our teams bring to work every single day.
The accolades didn’t stop there. Our Blackburn, Leeds, and Birmingham restaurants were all awarded the TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice award, placing them in the top 10% of restaurants worldwide. It’s humbling to see our efforts recognised on a global stage.
MyLahore Blackburn also took home Best Fusion Restaurant at the ninth Asian Restaurant Awards, a moment of real pride for the team who work tirelessly to deliver exceptional experiences every single day.
And there’s more to celebrate: MyLahore Events won Best Caterer 2025 at the 10th Asian Food & Restaurant Awards. It’s a testament to the dedication of our catering team and the trust our clients place in us to deliver exceptional experiences, whether it’s a wedding, corporate event, or community gathering.
Memorable Moments with Extraordinary Guests
We’re truly grateful for every memorable moment shared at MyLahore this year, including the incredible visits from our celebrity guests. From noble cricket players and Olympic gold medalists, to musicians and magicians, to wise scholars and actors from Hollywood to Bollywood, we’ve been genuinely blessed.
These visits remind us that great food has the power to bring everyone together, regardless of background or fame. Each guest who walks through our doors, whether a local regular or an international star, becomes part of the MyLahore family.
Inspiring the Next Generation
Giving back also means investing in the people who will shape our industry’s future. We’ve continued our involvement with Bradford University’s Accelerated Student Entrepreneurship Programme, sharing real-world lessons from the MyLahore journey with students who are just starting theirs.
Our Head Chef has also been working closely with Bradford College, inspiring students through live demonstrations and hands-on mentorship. Watching young chefs develop their skills and confidence is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.
We’ve also been exploring how hospitality can support positive change in unexpected places. Through engagement with HMP Wetherby Young Offenders Institute and the Muslim Chaplain Association, we’re looking at how our industry can play a role in rehabilitation and reintegration, offering pathways and purpose to those who need it most.
Supporting Students and Aspiring Entrepreneurs
Whether it’s sharing kitchen skills, business lessons, or simply showing what’s possible through hard work and community focus, we’re committed to opening doors for the next wave of talent. The students and young people we work with remind us why it’s so important to stay grounded, stay generous, and keep creating opportunities.
Twenty-Three Years of MyLahore
This year, we proudly celebrated 23 years of MyLahore, a milestone that reflects resilience, community trust, and staying true to our roots while continuing to evolve.
From humble beginnings to restaurants across the UK, our journey has always been shaped by the people we serve and the communities we’re part of. Every dish we prepare, every event we cater, every partnership we build, it all comes back to the same belief: food brings people together.
Looking back on 23 years, we’re grateful for every single person who has walked through our doors, supported our work, or shared in our story. You’ve made this journey possible.
Looking Ahead with Gratitude and Purpose
As we look to the future, our commitment remains stronger than ever. We’ll continue supporting healthcare charities, championing local enterprise, inspiring young talent, and creating spaces where culture, community, and good food come together.
